Performance
The engine included in the 2022 Kia Telluride is
a V-6 engine that can generate 291-hp and 262 lb.-ft. of torque. It also
features an eight-speed automatic transmission. While the Telluride does not
feature a crazy amount of power, the new Telluride can go from 0 to 60 in
7.1-seconds.
The fuel economy of the new Telluride is
different than most other mid-sized crossover vehicles because the Telluride
has a V-6 engine instead of a V-8 engine. The Telluride can get 20 mpg city and
26 mpg on the highway when using front-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive fuel
economy is slight worse at 19 mpg city and 24 mpg on the highway.
Safety
The safety features included in the 2022 Kia
Telluride include:
- Forward-collision warning
- Automated emergency braking
- Lane-departure warning
- Lane-keeping assist
- Blind-spot monitoring
The forward-collision warning feature and
automated emergency braking feature work in unison thanks to the help of the
sensors in the front of the vehicle. These sensors can detect any objects that
may be in front of your vehicle, and a signal is sent to the internal computer
of the Telluride when an object is sensed in front of the vehicle. The computer
processes that signal and relays a signal to the automated emergency brakes,
which applies the brakes faster than you can react to the object in front of
your vehicle as you commute from Greer to Simpsonville.
The lane-departure warning feature and the
lane-keeping assist feature also work in unison with the help of sensors, but
the sensors for these features are on the side of the Telluride. The sensors on
the side of the vehicle can sense the width of the lane that you are in and
send a signal to the internal computer when you start to drift. This signal is
processed, and the lane-keeping assist feature is triggered to help you stay in
your lane while you drive from Greenville to Shelby, NC.
The blind-spot monitoring uses the sensors that
are on the side of the Telluride to tell whether there is an object in your
blind-spot. More than likely that object will be another vehicle, but it can
sense all objects. These sensors can sense when an object is in your
blind-spot, and it sends a signal to the internal computer. The internal
computer processes that signal and turns on a light on your side mirrors to let
you know that there is a vehicle next to you.
Technology
The technology included in the interior of the
new Telluride includes a 10.3-in. touchscreen that can help you navigate as you
travel outside of Gaffney. The Telluride also has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto,
Harman Kardon audio system, and wireless smartphone charging. All these
technology features make driving the Telluride a great experience, and they
make the passenger experience enjoyable during long road trips.
Trim Levels
The new Telluride has four different trims to
choose from, which are:
- Telluride LX
- Telluride S
- Telluride EX
- Telluride SX
Each trim has its own unique set of features,
which will help you in the buying process. Each trim has its own unique price
point, which can help you get your money's worth, and it can help you avoid
buying any features that will go unused.
